I think my blog is quite angsty = ( cant think of anything good to blog. But i did get a totally totally screwed haircut today ='( completely regretting my decision. i freaking told the stylist to cut of like 2cm of my hair and she just cut of like 2 inches. now i freaking look like some pineapple =( and by the time my hair grows back its gonna be time to cut it off for army.

For the 3rd week in a row my weekend has been pretty much ruined. Seems that i will never have a nice relaxing weekend.

I sometimes wonder if im waiting for something that may never come, or rather too far out of my reach. Perhaps it's time to call it quits. Are you being blinded, or is it just me? I wanna see the light at the end of the tunnel but I'm blinded by the darkness.

DAMN this blog is dying rapidly and is currently in ICU. Too lazy to update mainly cause of no mood. Hmm. What have i done during the holiday.. Played the piano some but not really alot, travelled to Thailand for ~~crazy~~ *meh* shopping experience. Seriously why Thailand so biased, dont make larger sizes for their clothing!!! So hard to shop there. then the shorts are also so small, i had a hard time finding one to fit me. Bought a really cool sweater though =D for like, CHEEP CHEEP ONLY 200 BAHT. Sadly no photos cause i didnt bother bringing my camera and i hate camwhoring with myself.

ANDDD. FINALLY MOVED BACK TO MY NEWLY RENOVATED HOUSE =3 =3 =3 =3 MY ROOM LOOKS NICE!!!! Hmm now where did i put my camera? It suddenly looks very bright when you turn on all the lights in the house at night lol. I seriously think that there's space for a dog in the house now =) and omg Julia your retriever looks so cute and floofy. I wanna go play with it. Soon. Yay Back from my 10 day stint in Thailand. Quite a R&R time in my opinion. I really wish i was back there cause it was pretty much the best 10 days of this year there =( So many ice breaking and team bonding games were played and it's really quite depressing to have to say goodbye to the trip that seems like a distant long forgotten memory now. Well it's quite late now so maybe i will add another post( or a couple) over the next few days =D

Well that's BT2 well and truly screwed over. I probably should have did more practice questions (lots more) than reading notes. Keep blanking out during exams.. But i shall aspire to be like a Hong Yi Shuen mwahahhaha.

Went to watch Harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince, with the gang today. The movie wasn't very good(as usual) =( Like so many parts were taken out!! Like the meetings with Rufus Scrimgeour and when did the weasley house get burned to ashes? *spoiler warning* Near the end how could it possibly take harry sooooo long to catch up with the bunch of death eaters when bellatrix was dancing on the tables in the great hall and destroying everything? Zzz. And i cant believe they cut out the epic wizard fight scene at the end when dumbledore was about to die. LASTLY the ending was epic fail with hermione and harry at the railings and ron sitting there stoning. THERE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A FREAKING FUNERAL!!!!! RAWR.

Last few days before flying off to Thailand for a competition-cum-mugging-retreat for 10 days. Gonna miss lots of lessons, hope I don't regret =/ Anyway failed Math too, =( totally unexpected but.. oh wells. Some consolation was that I passed Bio, yay!

I wonder where does all the time fly to, every time i sit down and mug the world suddenly seems to move in fast motion. It takes me like 1 and half hour to do a bio tutorial (curse you Application syllabus) and its already 11.30, it also takes me like, 2 hrs to finish making notes on cell signalling. Rawrs.

Went to watch ice age 3 last friday, quite retarded, but at least buck the weasel was amusing lol. And the baby dino's were cuteeeee. Surprise meeting with belated b'day girl ker and other band people so we sat at pastamania and talk cock until 8+ Suddenly saw BK walk out of Lot1 so we ended up having a mini-gathering and sat outside Macdonalds to talk until 10+ enjoyable heee. Oh well back to mugging for tml's chem paper 1&2, im completely gg-ed for P3 anyway. Borrow this really cool book about drawing with pastels, the animals look life like!!!! Thats gonna be one of the stuffs im gonna do after A's =DD

Wildlife activists thought they had seen the worst in 2003 when Frank Murkowski, then the Republican governor of Alaska, signed a bill ramping up state programs to gun down wild wolves from airplanes, inviting average citizens to participate. Wolves, Murkowski believed, were clearly better than humans at killing elk and moose, and humans needed to even the playing field.

But that was before Sarah Palin took Murkowski's job at the end of 2006. She went one step, or paw, further. Palin didn't think Alaskans should be allowed to chase wolves from aircraft and shoot them -- they should be encouraged to do so. Palin's administration put a bounty on wolves' heads, or to be more precise, on their mitts.

In early 2007, Palin's administration approved an initiative to pay a $150 bounty to hunters who killed a wolf from an airplane in certain areas, hacked off the left foreleg, and brought in the appendage. Ruling that the Palin administration didn't have the authority to offer payments, a state judge quickly put a halt to them but not to the shooting of wolves from aircraft.

Detractors consider the airborne shootings a savage business, conducted under the euphemism "predator control." The airplanes appear in the winter, so the wolves show up like targets in a video game, sprinting across the white canvas below. Critics believe the practice violates the ethics of hunting, while supporters say the process is not hunting at all, but a deliberate cull.

Palin has argued that she is worried about Alaska's hunters, locked in perennial competition with the canine carnivores for the state's prodigious ungulate population. A hunter herself, Palin has battled critics of aerial wolf hunting with the support of the Alaska Outdoor Council, a powerhouse advocacy and lobbying organization for hunting, fishing and recreation groups. In addition to so-called urban hunters, who shoot moose mostly for fun, Alaska is home to a significant number of subsistence hunters, including some of the Native population. Subsistence hunters rely on an occasional moose to make ends meet. The wolves, Palin has said, are stealing food from their tables.

"Palin acts like she has never met an animal she didn't want shot," says Priscilla Feral, president of Friends of Animals, based in Connecticut.

The controversy over Palin's promotion of predator control goes beyond animal rights activists recoiling at the thought of picking off wolves from airplanes. A raft of scientists has argued that Palin has provided little evidence that the current program of systematically killing wolves, estimated at a population of 7,000 to 11,000, will result in more moose for hunters. State estimates of moose populations have come under scrutiny. Some wildlife biologists say predator control advocates don't even understand what wolves eat.

State officials stand by their scientific findings on predator control. "Several times over the past several years, our science has been challenged in court," says Bruce Bartley, a spokesman for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. "In every instance it has prevailed."

Yet it is not hard to find Alaskans who say Palin's enthusiasm for predator control fits a broader narrative of how she edits science to suit her personal views. She endorses the teaching of creationism in public schools and has questioned whether humans are responsible for global warming.

In 2007, she approved $400,000 to educate the public about the ecological success of shooting wolves and bears from the air. Some of the money went to create a pamphlet distributed in local newspapers, three weeks before the public was to vote on an initiative that would have curtailed aerial killing of wolves by private citizens. "The timing of the state's propaganda on wolf control was terrible," wrote the Anchorage Daily News on its editorial page.

"Across the board, Sarah Palin puts on a masquerade, claiming she is using sound management and science," says Nick Jans, an Alaskan writer who co-sponsored the initiative. "In reality she uses ideology and ignores science when it is in her way." The initiative was defeated last month.

Gordon Haber is a wildlife scientist who has studied wolves in Alaska for 43 years. "On wildlife-related issues, whether it is polar bears or predator controls, she has shown no inclination to be objective," he says of Palin. "I cannot find credible scientific data to support their arguments," he adds about the state's rationale for gunning down wolves. "In most cases, there is evidence to the contrary."

Last year, 172 scientists signed a letter to Palin, expressing concern about the lack of science behind the state's wolf-killing operation. According to the scientists, state officials set population objectives for moose and caribou based on "unattainable, unsustainable historically high populations." As a result, the "inadequately designed predator control programs" threatened the long-term health of both the ungulate and wolf populations. The scientists concluded with a plea to Palin to consider the conservation of wolves and bears "on an equal basis with the goal of producing more ungulates for hunters."

Apparently Palin wasn't fazed. Earlier this year she introduced state legislation that would further divorce the predator-control program from science. The legislation would transfer authority over the program from the state Department of Fish and Game to Alaska's Board of Game, whose members are appointed by, well, Palin. Even some hunters were astounded by her power play.

The legislation would give Palin's board "more leeway without any scientific input to do whatever the hell they basically wanted," Mark Richards, co-chair of Alaska Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, wrote in an e-mail. The legislation is currently stalled in the Alaska state Senate.

Predator control in Alaska dates back to the 1920s and 1930s. Even then, wildlife biologists insisted that wolves were important to the area's natural ecology and not responsible for inordinate deaths of sheep, caribou or moose. Yet the scientists fought a losing battle against ranchers, hunters and government officials, who backed the extermination of tens of thousands of wolves. Aerial hunting began in earnest in the 1940s and continued through the 1960s after Alaska had earned statehood.

But starting in 2003, Murkowski opened the airborne shooting to citizens with special permits and expanded predator-control programs to cover 60,000 square miles of state and federal land, the largest wolf-killing operation since Alaska became a state. The stated goal is to reduce wolf populations in some areas by 60 to 80 percent. Teams of pilots and gunners have killed at least 795 wolves since 2003. Conservationists counter that the total number of wolves trapped, shot from airplanes, chased down by snow machines, and killed legally and illegally in Alaska every year is more along the lines of 2,000.

Scientists insist that the Palin administration is systematically killing wolves with an inadequate understanding of the relationship between the carnivore and hoofed animals. The state responds that predators kill over 80 percent of the moose and caribou that die each year, while hunters and trappers kill less than 10 percent.

Haber says the state's numbers are wildly inflated. His decades of wolf research have shown that wolves are, in fact, mostly scavengers. "Sixty to 70 percent of the moose they eat are scavenged, not killed," he says. He adds that the state's wolf population estimates, based on secondhand observations and extrapolations, are also high.

Palin offered the $150 bounty for wolf paws in 2007 after efforts to kill wolves from airplanes that season were, in her view, coming up short. State officials had hoped that 382 to 664 wolves would be killed during that predator-control season. State officials were disappointed when only 115 wolves were killed from the air.

Palin thought the $150 cash bounties would do the trick. Haber has another explanation for the dry spell. "I can tell you from my own research that the reason they didn't get many wolves in certain years, particularly last winter, is because they have scraped those areas clean," he says.

Last year, Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., introduced legislation designed to curtail predator-control programs, except as a last resort. "It's time to ground Alaska's illegal and inhumane air assault on wolves," Miller said. Palin quickly fired off a curt letter in response, applauding the state's programs as "widely recognized for their excellence and effectiveness." She pointed out that her state has "managed its wildlife so that we still maintain abundant populations of all of our indigenous predators almost fifty years after statehood."

Says Jans, co-sponsor of the losing initiative to outlaw aerial wolf hunting: "This is a reflection of a somebody who doesn't have any use for science."

This just makes me really sad. How can anyone with absolutely no common sense, never attended a internationally recognized law school, no understanding of science and worst of all no regard for wildlife become a state governer? Someone please shoot her, she deserves to go to hell.

Yay after a very very very very very long time, an update!!! Alot of things happen in the last 3 weeks.

First off, Ex-Captain Samuel's B'day on the 27th of may!!! I ordered the helium tank online and went down to parkway to collect. Super heavy, and i looked damn retarded on the bus but nevermind. For a good cause right? Planned this out with the HCVB guys, 19 people and 19 balloons for samuel!
This is teh kewl shitz haaha. Erm okay yea. Me and Sam had some nice long chats with the VP too, waste of my time IMO.

Okay after that was the godly tiring VELOCITY 100KM BIKE HIKE!!!!!! Super screwed. A map of the estimated route we took in yellow.Started of at East Coast, then we had bike problems like 200 m from the starting point. Lucky Melvin and I managed to fix it. Continued on across nicoll highway, another bike problem lol. Went past esplanade, saw the SG flyer, went pass National Stadium. Went through Lau pau Sat and den we went down to vivo city. Too bad we couldnt go in and shop haha. Lame. Anyway, we continued on to queensway mac for a break, den cycled to Clementi, someone had a major cramp there. So we waited for around 1 hr for the safety truck to come, but fortunetly we were entertained by Chen Xing's antics about some girl. Damn funny, den we also had some talk about some gay guys in highsch. Okay continued on to pasir panjang, west coast, jurong east, bukit gombak. The prata shop there is pretty good, but maybe because after cycling for 6 hrs probably anything will taste good. There was one route along pasir panjang my mum told me was called the "88 route" because of all the hair pin curves. Best part is that its all down hill, so laxing. Den suddenly, some Initial D wannabe zoomed past us at like 70+kmph, trying to kill us siah. So after our prata stop, samuel had a cramp along bukit timah nature reserve, so spent another 20 mins massaging his limbs, den we cycled along bukit timah road until SCGS, turned into town. Past Far East Plaza, Takashimaya, Cineleisure, Plaza Sing, den turned left at Cineplex to go into Little India. Cycled along the MRT route from Little India to Kovan(!! damn far) where samuel had another cramp attack. So at Kovan took another Mac break and cycled through some buildings to go to one of the industrial area, where samuel had yet another cramp lol. Then cycled past Eunos MRT then finally reached parkway parade. Super long ride. Took around 10+hrs to complete. After that was too shagged to do much, so had breakfast with the VB gals at KFC and cabbed home with cass and melissa. I slept like a pig until night lol.

The weekend after that I went for the World vision 30 hr famine camp. Nothing much to say there but just starve/fast for 30 hrs. There was this young boy from Thailand(or Cambodia?), he was very small size, like maybe 8 or 9 yrs old. But in actual fact he is 13!!! We werent allowed to take pictures due to some child protectionism, so =((. His younger brother is totally adorable too! Yea so it was done to raise awareness for people infected with AIDS/HIV. Hmm cant really reflect much so it's just another chapter of my life i suppose. They did give us alot of H20 And other sweet stuff to drink though.

I'll probably upload the photos next time. But for now the MUGOLIDAYS are here to haunt me(and everyone else) again. Kinda sucks having to study every day. Anyway im going to get into the habit of running 3km everyday!!!! Like some fitness buff lol. But still i cant believe i ran something like 7km on monday. Maybe it was because of the yuki yaki buffet that made me feel guilty =/. Had lots of fun with cass,huipei, tak and yujie who tagged along inpromptu-ishly. Tried making chicken omelette but failed horribly =( guess im not meant to cook, but the ice cream making session was just heaven. We made vomit, shit and a egg face. EPIC WINS!!!!!!

I'm feeling happy cause we finally achieved that coveted 1st place for A division, but at the same time i feel sad because it's probably the last time that we are playing as team HWA CHONG. I still think that I'm dreaming because I just can't believe that we are finally 1st.

The 2 year (1 1/2? yrs) have truly been a magical experience with me seeing lots of red (winks). I truly do treasure the moments that we had together, be it trying to thunder over the fence at the outdoor court, or screaming "God Bless!" during the abs hold, or even randomly niao-ing Junhao and his porn-star or his certain someone =3. Donut eating sessions (=3 Samuel) or sleeping in the new squash courts.

It was not too long ago that we stepped out to face YJC, bounce back from our defeat from PJC to besting NYJC and claiming the Championship for our own. It's people like YOU that make the 100 sec ABS hold bearable, it's people like YOU that lift me up when I'm down, but more importantly, it's people like YOU that have made my journey through HwaChong as a player truly memorable. These are the memories that i would never trade for anything.Never.

While nobody may read this I still feel that i should.

First off, Samuel. Hahaha remember the times when we were meng sms-ing whether we should come to HC or go elsewhere? How about now? Any regrets? Best friend through J1 orientation when i practically didnt know anyone, best friend in VB, and best friend that I could count on to listen to my ranting and always say wa lao. While there was a period that we did not feel like playing VB anymore, I'm glad that we managed to tide it through! Im trying to not get depressed over small matters here but apparently is not working. Results for BT 1 are out and expected(sort of) had a tremendous flop of CSSSS. Haish. I seriously think im not cut out for studying. Perhaps im just lazy? Mood swings affect my performance during training too =(. Apologies for disrupting training sometimes or destroying the atmosphere =/

I could just be stressing out over nothing. But it's hard not to when some people are just mugging for A level. Consult was a complete disaster today cause i had practically no idea what was going on and I pretty much felt like stone there. I really should be studying hard >.< But somehow i cant bring myself to do it. 7 months to A levels, but my schedule seems to be fully occupied with training, and im usually too tired to do anything afterwards. Rare occasion that i still have energy would usually be spent finishing tutorials rather than revising. ZZZzzz, really wonder if i should be going to play combine schools?

Had to fill up some timetable plan thingy today, apparently my plan was just not good enough, not sure if it was a complement to tell me that i was actually awake given what i do. I also think that there is a limit to being a technophobe, i mean, not turning on the switch and expecting an electrical device to work? WTF. Why do some people just have a problem with me playing VB so much, yes i know studies are important, but playing VB is probably one of the few stuffs i enjoy. I would appreciate them not giving me a sarcastic remark and giving me the WTFWTHKNNCCBBBQ face, I probably wasnt meant to be here in the first place, stealing the spot of some other more academically efficient person. Maybe should have chosen to study somewhere else. You know what? Fuck school, I dont care even fucking care about studying. Wouldnt want to pull down average grade would I?

I suppose unity can never be felt in whole when we are divided. The individuals are always expected to contribute while the majority can take advantage of it. All it takes is a single 'weed' for the whole party to crumble.

School sucks, results sucks, studies sucks, sometimes i wonder who my friends are, no more free time, and sometimes Im not sure im happy or sad. Anyways this is what you should do after blocks. Laze around in school for 1 1/2 hours until training, train and do PT till 8.30. Slack and talk some more cock till 9.00 den reach home at 10.00 to wash clothes and eat dinner at 10.30! Add another 4 hours of dota and 1 hour of patapon 2 to finish off at 3.30 am and sleep 2 1/2 hours before going to school. Crazy me =D

Anyway went to Wild wild wet today (yesterday actually) with HCVB kias for fun. I cant really tell if it was a waste of time really, so freaking small! Only the U shaped slide thing was really exciting, but have to carry the stupid float back up, waste energy siah. Other than that it's still okay I suppose. The 'tsunami' was so-so too, prefer sunway lagoon =D Hopefully can organise class holiday there or something?

Chinese New/Niu Year!! Money money money money money money. Tried abit of gambling but apparently goats have no luck this year, I managed to lose $30 in around 4 hours of mahjong, relatively little i think. But my father, I think he is some lucky shit. Every year we play blackjack with him, he always wins money. Probably cause his banker, but he really gets blackjack more often then normal.. He should teach me how to gamble hehee. He also tried his hand at Da Xiao, also earn money. I think he made around $280++ gambling with us small fries.

Very long time since i last updated i think, lots of interesting happen in the last 2 weeks though.Work at Shang has been brisk but I think my pocket is emptying out faster then i can put money inside, especially after buying my phone ($300) and a new badminton racket ($85). Anyway me and weiyang went to queensway to shop for racket, but when we got off the bus, it suddenly started raining very heavily. Waited at the bustop for around 15mins, and the rain got heavier ._. , so we decided to take taxi to the shopping center which is about 100 m away. So it took another 10mins to flag the taxi cause like 10+ taxis ignored us!! Then finally one uncle stop for us, ask us where we going, we told him "Queensway shopping centre", then he turned around and ask " The one behind ah?" lol, damn funny. Then after the taxi move off, suddenly the rain become lighter, then the uncle drove us in circles for a while to earn a bit more money so after we reach queesnway cost about $4 liao, power siah.

Finally managed to get my hands on The legend of Spyro: Dawn of the dragon for PS2!!!! Woooo!!! I think im some spastic fanboy to have played all (almost) sequels of the game since it came out a decade ago. But im just addicted to it =x Maybe cause I just have a thing for dragons =3 WEEEeee.

The game is just a perfect eye candy eg.

The game has come a long way since its PS 1 days....

Also managed to get 100% completion (woot) in 30 hrs of game play. The ending was so sad and so touching at the same time ='( The songs created for The legend of Spyro trilogy were all really good. Hoping to get the original soundtrack soon =3 Especially like the songs This broken soul and Guide you home. The orchestral music in "Plains of Avalar" are really good too! It should be playing in the background as you are reading this =)

Okay now some random rants(cause posting kinda feels incomplete without them)
My mum can be such a bitch!!! She seems to be taking every opportunity to bitch at me about something or another. Like my hair, just cause i keeping it long, everyday shout at me go cut, den give some stupid reason like cause look very ugly and all that crap. Like who cares lo. Then also dont let me dye hair, cause say what, damage the hair and all that shit. Next time go army also shave botak, then go UNI really want to have dyed hair, then go out work also cannot dye, like wtf la.Den she also hates me staying up late, like, 1 am already considered very late, then come into my room and shout at me lo.Say wat, i wasting electricity. The only thing on in my room is a fan, laptop charger, and a ENERGY EFFICIENT light, wtf. U call that wasting electricity. But recently she scream at me for the lamest reason. Ask me go buy white bread, bonjour brand. I go 7-11, no stock, so i buy some random TOP-One brand cause got offer, then +125 gram or something like that. Then bring home ah, she scream at me like crazy la, like what, who going to eat the bread, then will waste, den what crap lar. SERIOUSLY, she still take the bread and throw at me lar. Dunno what the fuck is her problem, bread also want to shout. I think she going senile liao lo, this kind of thing also got problem. Dunno what to do about her liao lo.

Lots of stuff happened today. I finally completed playing one of my favourite Okami song's on piano (Reset)!! After many long months of slaving in front of the piano, mwaahahahahah. Also the usual mahjong gang came to my house for a round, glad to say i wasnt the biggest loser. When we started everyone started to put good luck charms to help xi some luck. Cass put the Fei tile and HP put the Clown tile, but Lik Tak was the best. He borrowed my zao cai mao to use la!! Super funny. But his ZCM cannot beat my san shan yang!! I ended up winning 3 out of 4 times (woooo). So we cut the game short cause they were losing alot of chips to moi (unexpectedly) and we tried the online horror game hotel 626.

It's quite a scary game but HP play until she can remember all the stages. Cass was so scared until she didnt dare to see the screen, but once again, Tak took the cake. He was covering his face with his hands then he trying to peek out and see but still quite hai xiu that kind. And he can scream like a girl (!!) when he really wants to. At one point during the game my toe accidently touch his leg, and he jumped and told me not to touch him when watching/playing this kind of horror stuff. Once i tried to play the game in the middle of the night blasting the volume, I had the shock of my life x_x Then went to play VB in the park where the ball kept rolling into the bushes.

Then in the evening went to play badminton at zhenghua CC, after that went for chit chat session with some guy friends. We talked for around 4 hrs straight about alot of stuffs, super fun. We also reminisced about the good ol' days in Sec sch, haish, miss you people loads!!!!!!

I ended up having to walk home cause it was like 1 am already. Somemore must walk by super ulu way. And after playing the hotel 626 game ah..... I saw alot of scary stuff. Dunno why i walk through the Bangkit market, the shophouses all close then got one old fashion recliner chair in the middle of the path!!!!!! Some more ah, i walking up to my block that time, there was a doll sort of leaning against the pillar!!!! WTF, i was pretty shocked at that point. But it gets worse, the playground near my house, i saw the swing moving without anyone on it, not the kind of meng swinging but it was kind of swaying... super wierd. Scariest moment was when i got home, i open the door then i put my bag on the floor. Then i open my bag and i looking for some stuff inside, i look up ah, my mother was freaking standing in front of me lar. Some more never hear her one, she like night stalker or some thing. I almost screamed lar. I swear she has some art in scaring people cause thats the second time she did that to me.

Super politely leh!!! Then the stupid LAP started scolding her and shouting vulgarities in 3 different languages la! ( 3 languages and 1 dialect actually) His face super qian bian somemore. I wanted to punch him but i was wearing sch shirt so better not. But the lady even more steady, she just take out her earpiece and listen to music and read her book, completely dao the retarded LAP behind her, damn funny.

Anyway i want to go watch movie, but hard to find people to go out with!!!! ZZZZzzzz, every its either stay at home or go play VB, so boring. Class outing on the 29th though, will make another post then i think =)

Nette also tried to rip my arm out from its socket, I mean, the movie wasnt even scary la.. only like 8-10 scenes with ghost, and so sappy laaaa.. Haish, a complete waste of $6..

Well had an enjoyable time at my cousin's post ROM party. The location was quite cool, some place called The Rochester near Bouna Vista. Its like a chalet then can book then can have buffet.
The house was quite cool too, the ambience was quite nice.

Okay crap aside, went to LikTak's house to play mahjong yesterday, sad to say, I was the big loser =(, but Tak was following close behind haha.
